About University of Liverpool
The University of Liverpool is a Russell Group research university in one of England's most culturally rich cities. Founded in 1881, it was one of the original Victorian 'Red Brick' civic universities. Liverpool has particular strengths in medicine, veterinary science, architecture, engineering and the arts.
Liverpool's Medical School is one of the oldest in England, and the university has a notable tropical medicine department β the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (an affiliated institution) is world-renowned. Campus & Student Life
Liverpool's campus is a short walk from the city centre. The city itself is the draw β Liverpool has one of the UK's most vibrant cultural scenes. The Beatles legacy is omnipresent, the waterfront is stunning, the food scene is growing rapidly, and the nightlife (around Bold Street and the Baltic Triangle) is excellent.
