Overview
Cardiff is the capital of Wales and a fantastic student city that punches well above its weight. Home to Cardiff University (Russell Group), Cardiff Metropolitan University, and the University of South Wales, the city offers a compact, walkable centre with excellent shopping, dining, and nightlife. The Principality Stadium hosts major rugby and football events, and the city's Bay area has been regenerated into a vibrant waterfront district. Living costs are among the lowest of any UK capital.

Getting Around
Cardiff is compact and walkable. Buses cover the city and suburbs. Cardiff Central station connects to London (2 hrs), Bristol (50 min), and Swansea (1 hr). Cardiff Airport has limited flights but Bristol Airport is about an hour away. The city has growing cycling infrastructure.
